INTRODUCING THE FIRST MATE
MEET ZACK — FIRST MATE OF BEYOND THE DREAM
Before there was Beyond the Dream, before the first board was cut or the first nail was driven, there was a little boy named Zack.
Zack has always been a wonderful kid, full of curiosity and excitement about the things he loves. I still remember how excited he was when he started kindergarten. He couldn't wait to go! And when something catches his interest, it's amazing how quickly he can learn.
One thing Zack has always loved is the water. Whether swimming in the river or splashing around in the different swimming pools we've had over the years, he's always been happy around it.
He's also spent plenty of time looking through my old photographs and videos of the boats I've owned over the years. He wanted so badly to be aboard those boats and experience some of the adventures he'd seen.
Then along came Beyond the Dream.
I'll never forget Zack's first reaction when he saw her. She was so big, and getting up onto that high deck was a little intimidating for him. I could tell he was nervous.
But that didn't last long!
Before I knew it, that same little boy who was hesitant to climb aboard was talking about driving the boat, exploring the rivers, and wondering when we were finally going to get underway.
That's my First Mate!
As his dad, I have a dream of my own.
I hope that as the years go by, Zack comes to love the adventures we're going to share. I hope he remembers the rivers, the places we visit, the people we meet, and even the times when things don't go quite according to plan.
And someday, I hope he'll have the confidence and curiosity to set off on adventures of his own.
Because Beyond the Dream isn't just about a boat.
It's about giving my son a lifetime of memories, a love of adventure, and the courage to follow his own dreams.
